North Portland Neighborhood Services Event Assistance

Whether it is a neighborhood festival or a National Night Out get together on your block, community events are a great way to make connections, build community, and have fun. North Portland Neighborhood Services may be able to assist with venues, equipment, and technical assistance for your community building event. For NPNS programs, insurance may also be available for your event.

And NPNS staff can even help in finding a place for your private event. The Historic Kenton Firehouse and Overlook House are available to rent for your wedding, reception, birthday party, milestone celebration, business meeting, or other private event. There are other community operated venues that NPNS staff can help you find to hold your private event as well.

Block by block community building often begins with neighborhood block parties that bring nearby neighbors together. NPNS staff can help you get started in planning a block party on your street.

There is a variety of equipment to loan to NPNS programs from tables and chairs to an outdoor movie screen and projector for community night at the movies.
