Lobbying State and Federal Government: In What Issues Should the City of Portland Engage!

Legislative Advocacy 101 panel, Get Ready for the 2014 State Legislative Session – Tues. Dec. 10

The City of Portland has started the process for developing state and federal legislative agendas for next year and we want to hear from you! What are the issues facing your neighborhood and communities that you want your City to advocate for? Your input in previous years has helped to shape the city’s work in Salem and Washington D.C. Our state legislative agenda will reflect the limited scope of the short 2014 state session beginning in February.

There will be an “Advocacy 101” event on Tuesday, December 10 which will preview the 2014 legislative session and provide community members with tips on how to be an effective advocate for your community or neighborhood during this upcoming legislative session beginning in February. A panel of State legislators will share their tips for how the community can make an impact on public policy during the 2014 state legislative session. Panelists are yet to be determined.

Tuesday, December 10, 2013

6:00 to 8: 00 p.m.
